Haute Lumière · The reading

Rejection sensitivity.

The thing where a look, a tone, or a message left on read arrives in the body as an injury — long before you have decided whether it was one.

It has a clinical name, rejection sensitive dysphoria, and it travels most often with ADHD. It also has a plainer description, which is that a nervous system built for signal is reading the room correctly and paying for it. This house has written eleven volumes on it: some for the person living inside it, some for the therapist sitting across from them, and one that is simply the biology, so that nobody has to keep arguing about whether it is real.

Everything below opens its first chapter to anybody. Most of it is free to read whole while the shelf is in beta.

For clinicians

There is a clinical wing at clinical.hautelumiere.life for practitioners working from these volumes.

And the next thing

Rejection sensitivity and high sensitivity are the same nervous system described from two directions. If the volumes above land, the other door is the one to open next.
