The problem was never the amount.

Two industries are waiting for you here: one that says work harder, one that says think differently. Both are answering a question about quantity. The tightness in your chest is not about quantity.

Scarcity is rarely a description of your bank balance. It is a state the nervous system enters, and it produces the same narrowing whether there is nothing in the account or a great deal — which is why people who have solved the amount often report no change at all in the feeling, and find that fact humiliating enough not to mention.

So the reading here goes at the state rather than the number. Abundance as a field you are in relationship with rather than a pile you are accumulating; devotion as an actual technology for it, several thousand years old and specific; and an economics that treats aliveness as the thing being produced, which turns out to be a more accurate account of how value moves than the one you were taught.

None of this asks you to stop wanting money. It asks what exactly you are asking money to do, since for most people the honest answer is make the fear stop, and money is a poor instrument for that particular job.

Scarcity is a state, not a balance. It narrows the same way at either end.
