One hundred and ninety-four questions, and after every answer another — until the thing you noticed stops being a nice moment and becomes a fact about who you are.
Most of what is good in a day passes unrecorded because nothing asked about it. This instrument asks — and then asks again, which is the part that changes anything.
The prompt arrives rather than being selected. Left to ourselves we return to the same three gratitudes; the question you would not have asked is the one that finds something new.
Every answer earns a follow-up, drawn in sequence through five movements — discovery, amplification, root, trace, design. It does not stop after one. You stop when you are ready.
Any prompt takes as many entries as you have to give it. Return to it in a year and the two answers together will tell you something neither could alone.
